Who can post an externship?
DVM members only.
Who can search for externships?
DVM student members.
Can I post multiple externships?
No. Only one unique externship per member will be displayed at a time. However, you can indicate you have multiple externships on your form.
Can I update, replace, or remove an externship?
Absolutely. Login to access your externship form and update or replace the content and hit the “submit” button. If you want to remove the externship from being published and searchable, simply select “No” under “Show Externship.”

What’s the difference between the TVMA and VCN job boards?
The
TVMA job board contains listings specifically for Texas veterinarians and LVT’s. The
Veterinary Career Network (VCN) job board contains national listings for veterinarians and LVT’s across the country and is not run by TVMA.
What kind of listings can I post?
The TVMA job board accepts listings for jobs, equipment and practices for sale or lease.
How much is a job/classified listing?
TVMA Member Rates: One magazine insertion and 2 months online: $150, Three magazine insertions and 6 months online: $350 or Six magazine insertions and 12 months online: $660. Non-member Rates: One magazine insertion and 2 months online: $285, Three magazine insertions and 6 months online: $645 or Six magazine insertions and 12 months online: $1,050. Listings have a 300 word maximum.
How can I post a listing/advertisement?
Navigate to the
classifieds page and select “TVMA Job Board”. On the job board page, select “Employers” and then “Post a Job”. You will be prompted to login and select your listing type. Be sure to complete all sections for accurate search results.

logging in to your account or are not receiving member rates, please email info@tvma.org to explain the issue.
I purchased a listing. Why can’t I find it?
Sometimes ads are paid for and never published. If this could be the case, login to your account and attempt to post the initial ad. There may be a credit sitting on your account for one listing. If this does not work or you are prompted to pay a second time, email info@tvma.org for assistance and include the text of your listing. Listings have a 300 word maximum.
Where is my listing?
First, let’s verify you posted to the TVMA job board. The national job board,
Veterinary Career Network (VCN), is not run by TVMA. Search the VCN board and verify your listing is not in their database.
If your listing was posted to the TVMA job board, search for it here. Use keywords from your listing to search (ex: “Full time”, “Grove Animal Clinic”, “Bonus”, etc.).
If your listing still cannot be found, please email info@tvma.org for assistance and indicate any steps taken to find your listing.
Will my listing be printed in the magazine?
All listings posted to the TVMA job board will be printed in the upcoming Texas Veterinarian magazine issue. Magazines are published bi-monthly: February, April, June, August, October and December. If a listing is not posted by the 1st week of the month prior to publication (ex: posted by July 7th for August publication), it will be included in the following magazine issue.
Why don’t I see my listing in the magazine classifieds section?
